Data we process
When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time, requested address and browser information to deliver the site securely.
For an account, we process your email address, sign-in codes, session data and optional profile details. Documents, folders, comments, shares and guest comments are processed when you or your guests use these features.
Device and account storage
Locally imported documents are initially stored in your browser on your device. When you save them to your account or create a share, documents and related data are transferred to our cloud backend; the database is hosted in the EU. We also store your session, language, appearance and app settings on your device.
Sharing and embedded content
Recipients can see shared content according to the permissions you choose. Do not publish other people's personal data without appropriate authority. Documents may load external content, which can transmit connection data to those providers.
Purposes and legal bases
We process data to provide the website and app, enable sign-in and sharing, and prevent abuse and errors (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Technically necessary device storage is based on Section 25(2) TDDDG.
Service providers
We use Lovable and the providers Lovable relies on for hosting, cloud database, authentication and sign-in emails.
Retention
We keep account data and cloud documents while your account exists or until you delete them. You can delete locally stored data in the app or through your browser. Technical logs and backups may remain for a limited period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Please send requests to hello@annopane.com. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
