The catch: whoever opens the link needs a Claude account. At most 50 external people per artifact, public no-account links only remain for legacy artifacts and Claude Code, and only what was created in Claude can be shared. That is exactly where Annopane comes in.
When Claude Artifacts is the better choice
- Everyone involved already works in Claude (Team or Enterprise plan) – then native sharing is the shortest path.
- The artifact pulls live data via Claude connectors. Those calls only run inside claude.ai.
- You want Claude to read comments directly without a detour – on the Team plan that works natively.
When Annopane is the better choice
- Recipients have no Claude account: clients, investors, family. Annopane links open in the browser; a name is all it takes to comment.
- You want a password, an expiry date or more than 50 external people.
- The file should work like an app on the phone – own icon, full screen, offline on the train.
- You share not only Claude output but also HTML from ChatGPT or Lovable, PDFs, Excel and Word files.

What Claude does well when sharing
For teams working entirely in Claude, native sharing is hard to beat: one click, roles per person, and comments land where Claude can process them right away. Artifacts pulling data via connectors only work there.
If that is your daily routine, you don't need Annopane. Honestly.
Where it gets stuck: the recipients
Most artifacts are made for people who don't have Claude – the client, management, the investor, the family. For them, “please create an account first” is a hurdle many won't take. Add the 50-external-people limit per artifact and the lack of passwords.
Annopane flips that: you upload the artifact (or let Claude publish it directly via the connector), share a link, optionally with password and expiry, and anyone opens it in the browser. Whoever wants to comment enters a name – done.
The feedback loop stays intact
Comments in Annopane know their exact place in the document (element, text, cell, PDF page). One tap copies all comments as a ready-made instruction for Claude; via the MCP connector Claude also fetches them itself, applies the changes and uploads the new version under the same link – resolved comments get ticked off.
Our verdict
If everyone involved works in Claude, share directly in Claude. As soon as even one person without a Claude account is involved, you need a password, or the file should go on the phone as an app, Annopane is the more practical path – and you keep the feedback loop with Claude.
Try Annopane for freeFrequently asked questions
Can I share a Claude artifact without a Claude account?
Natively only to a limited extent: new artifacts require a Claude account to open. With Annopane you upload the artifact's HTML file and get a link anyone opens in the browser – no account, optionally with a password.
How do I get the artifact out of Claude?
In Claude, choose “Download” or “Copy code” at the top right of the artifact. Drop the HTML file into Annopane – or let Claude publish directly via the Annopane connector.
Do artifacts with live data work in Annopane?
No. Connector calls only run inside claude.ai. Have Claude write the current data into the file and upload the new version under the same link.
Does sharing with Annopane cost anything?
No. Up to five files are free forever; during the current beta there are no limits at all. Recipients never pay.
