Markloop vs. Annopane: who closes the feedback loop better?

Markloop coined the line: “Your AI writes the doc. People comment. Your AI updates it.” That exact loop is also the core of Annopane. That's why this comparison is the most interesting – and the most balanced.

Last reviewed: October 30, 2026 · Review loop for AI documents

The difference lies in document type and price: Markloop is built for text – proposals, specs, reports – and costs from $19 a month. Annopane is built for interactive files – dashboards, calculators, prototypes – plus PDF, Excel and Word, and is free to use.

When Markloop is the better choice

  • Your main output is text documents (proposals, RFCs, specs) discussed line by line.
  • You want a guided workflow with a team workspace and are willing to pay for it.
  • Reviewers work on desktop and don't need an app on the phone.

When Annopane is the better choice

  • Your files are interactive: dashboards with filters, calculators, prototypes – comments should sit on buttons, charts and numbers.
  • You also share PDFs, Excel sheets, Word or PowerPoint files and want the same commenting mechanism for them.
  • Recipients read on the phone – in the taxi, on the train, offline.
  • Budget: Annopane is free, Pro costs €4.99; data lives in the EU.

Same idea, different documents

Markloop thinks from text: a proposal, a specification, a report – reviewers mark sentences, the AI applies, version two appears under the same link. That's cleanly solved and very usable for agencies and product teams aligning a lot of text.

Annopane thinks from the interactive document: the monthly report with filters, the scenario calculator, the prototype. Here comments sit on elements, not lines – and the same mechanism works for PDF pages, Excel cells or a point in a video.

Price and data location

Markloop starts at $19 per month for one person. Annopane is free, Pro costs €4.99, and data lives in the EU. For individuals, freelancers and European companies that's a tangible difference; for a team aligning documents daily, price matters less than workflow.

Our verdict

For text-heavy documents with external reviewers and a team paying for it, Markloop is very good. For interactive HTML apps, mixed formats and recipients on the phone, Annopane is the better fit – and much cheaper. You get the feedback loop with the AI from both.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude fetch comments from Annopane just like with Markloop?

Yes. Via the Annopane connector (MCP), Claude calls get_comments, receives every comment with its location, applies the changes and uploads the new version with update_document – resolved comments get marked.

Is Annopane also suitable for pure text documents?

Yes – Markdown, Word and HTML texts can be commented on paragraph by paragraph. Markloop's interface is more specialized for that case, though.
