In short
In ChatGPT Canvas choose “Download” (or copy the code, save as .html), drop the file on annopane.com and choose “Share link”. Recipients open the link without an account, as an app on the phone too, and can comment directly.
Here's how the HTML file gets out of ChatGPT and to the people who should see it, as a link or app.
Step by step
- 1
Get the HTML out of Canvas
Choose the download icon at the top right of the Canvas or copy all the code and save it as “index.html”. With several files (CSS, JS), put them all in one folder and zip it.
- 2
Open in Annopane
annopane.com → drop the file or ZIP. The page runs immediately with JavaScript. Check briefly that everything works – external scripts from CDNs are blocked for security until you allow network access for the file.
- 3
Share
“Share link (no account)” for 7 days – or with an account permanently, with password and commenter role. QR code for meetings included.
- 4
Feedback back into ChatGPT
Recipients' comments appear as pins. “Export” copies all comments with selectors and original text as a prompt – paste into ChatGPT, create version 2, upload under the same link.
Typical pitfalls
Tailwind or Chart.js from a CDN: allow network access for the file (file settings) – or ask ChatGPT to embed everything, then it runs offline too. Images with absolute paths: use relative paths and upload as a ZIP. Several HTML pages: work in the ZIP, entry point is index.html.
Frequently asked questions
Can I share the ChatGPT chat directly?
Yes, but recipients see the chat, not the running page – and may need an account depending on settings. For the finished page an Annopane link is the more direct path.
What's the difference to ChatGPT Sites?
Sites publishes public websites on a custom domain that Codex maintains. Annopane shares private files with password, comments and an app feel on the phone. The detailed comparison is linked below.
Does this also work with Gemini, Copilot or Lovable?
Yes – any tool that outputs an HTML file or a ZIP works the same way.
