In short
Download the artifact in Claude (HTML), drop it on annopane.com, “Share link”. The link opens in the browser without an account, optionally with a password. Recipients comment right in the artifact; Claude fetches the comments via the Annopane connector and uploads the new version under the same link.
This guide shows the path via Annopane – manually in three steps or fully automatic, with Claude publishing itself.
Step by step
- 1
Download the artifact
Open the artifact in Claude, top right “Download” (or copy the code and save as .html). For React artifacts, ask Claude to produce a standalone HTML file.
- 2
Drop it into Annopane
Open annopane.com, drag the file in or “Choose a file”. On the phone: “share” the HTML file from Mail/Files to Annopane or paste the code from the clipboard.
- 3
Share the link – with or without password
No account: “Share link (no account)”, valid 7 days. With a free account: “Share” → role “Commenter”, set password and expiry. Send the link or QR code.
- 4
Automatic: Claude publishes itself
In Annopane under Settings → “Connect Claude & co.” create a token and add the URL as a custom connector in Claude. Then just say: “Publish this to Annopane.” Later: “Fetch the comments and apply them” – Claude uploads version 2 under the same link and ticks off the resolved comments.
What happens with live data
Artifacts pulling data via Claude connectors (e.g. from Google Drive or a database) only work inside claude.ai. Have Claude write the current values into the file – “as a standalone HTML file with today's data, please” – and upload a new version when needed. For monthly reports that's usually exactly right.
Sharing in Claude vs. Annopane – in short
If everyone involved uses Claude, share directly in Claude. If clients, investors or friends without Claude are involved, you want a password, or the artifact should go on the phone as an app, use Annopane. The detailed comparison is linked below.
Frequently asked questions
Can I password-protect a Claude artifact?
Not in Claude. In Annopane: with a free account, set a password when creating the link. Recipients enter it once.
Do recipients need an Annopane account?
No. Viewing always works without an account; a name is all it takes to comment.
Do React artifacts work?
As a standalone HTML file, yes. Ask Claude: “Export this as a single HTML file with embedded scripts.” Artifacts calling the Claude API at runtime don't work outside Claude.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Up to 5 files free forever, unlimited during the beta. Recipients never pay.
